We were there as part of our honeymoon and had a good time. We didn't use the facilities much but happy with what we used. The location is great, so close to where the shops are but with amazing views. My husband got very excited to find kangaroos behind the YHA. Thanks to the lady receptionist for telling us about their WA ties, and for recommending Reeds Lookout for sunrise.

I really enjoyed my stay, overall the Halls Gap YHA has a great vibe. The staff are really nice and friendly, the location is perfect and the design
of the building is light, bright and modern. I loved the chooks and kangaroos roaming around freely outside.
I wouldn't hesitate staying again!

The staff at this hostel are very unfriendly. When checking in my YHA card was not asked for, it was demanded. There seemed to be some dismay that I was not in the 20 - 30 year age group. Later on, there was an argument between staff in their quarter

I only stayed here one night but I wish I could have stayed longer. A chilled atmosphere with clean facilities and friendly staff helped to make this one of the best hostels I've stayed in. The bed was really comfy and I had a really good sleep. W

Spacious and comfortable common areas. Convenient for walking and touring in Grampian national park. Kangaroos and other wildlife right in the backyard!

Surely a hostel which has seen better times. Located beautifully right in the Grampians National Parc with access to some fantastic hiking tracks yet lacking in atmosphere and cleanliness when we were there. Dead insect right next to the food storage
