  • Wirrabara YHA is in a beautiful location, the Wirrabara State Forest, with many walking tracks and mountain bike trails just outside the door.

    Great facility. Comfortable bunks, cosy slow combustion fire and well equipped country kitchen. This was our second visit with a group of 8 friends, they all loved the house and the forest .

  • Wirrabara Rent-A-YHA is currently being upgraded and is therefore not available for bookings during November 2012 to May 2013.

     A piece of Australian rural history, the Wirrabara YHA hostel is located in the rugged Flinders Ranges, and was originally the local community school house built in 1880. Modern facilities include electric stove and oven, microwave, heating, shower and toilets. Give it a go - rent the whole hostel for a night or two, or stay a whole week!

  • Due to bushfire safety requirements, minimum group booking 2 people, guests must have own car, access to mobile phone & radio for weather reports.

    $60 surcharge long weekends, minimum stay 2 nights

    This hostel is located in Wirrabara Forest not far from the Southern Flinders Ranges where you can explore mountains with tree-lined gorges, steep rock ridges, rolling plains and time-worn creek beds.
