absolutely beautiful jungle setting. lovely cabins. one of the bar staff was a bit dour. would be good if they offered more food than just $12 frozen pizzas. kitchen's ok though if you wanna cook but buy your food on the mainland (much cheaper!).

Loved the hostel and experience at the sanctuary. However, the one downside was the paid internet access was extremely slow. Paid for access and could not do anything with the slow connection speed. Everything else was fantastic!

Best YHA I ever stayed. Even after beeing there for three days we still couldn't believe how beautiful it is. If you go to Magnetic Island go there. Only downside: it's fully licensed so bringing your own alcohol is not allowed...

If you enjoy being surrounded by nature, this is your hostel. There are wallabies and possums everywhere on the premises and all kinds of cool birds as well.
