We had detached cabin with en-suite bathroom which turned out to have been cabin used by competitors in Sydney Olympics in 2000 and very comfortable it was too!

The hostel was good value for money as far as I can tell since I arrived late in the evening and left early in the morning. The dorm, the kitchen, and the shower/toilet were very clean and in good shape. The receptionist very friendly.

We just stopped by for one night on our way to the Whitsundays, but it was a nice surprise that we actually got a separate cabin (we booked an ensuite double room). Looks like a caravan park instead of a crowded hostel.
